Ever work around a trap injury?

I've been dealing with some mild pain on the ride side of of my traps and it's only been aggravated by my new job where I sit at a desk all day. I'm working on my posture and I've started seeing a chiro/PT but I'm wondering if anyone here has dealt with a similar issue. The chiro/PT did say to avoid deadlifts and pulldowns. Not sure what to think about that.

My advice,,,, take some time off,,,,rest,,, use some ALEVE daily and you should recover.

i twinged mine a few weeks ago with heavy shruggs, just dont do shit that messes with it
or as A said, take some time off, get yourself a deep tissue massage and chill
