Extreme Home Makeover

They are literally building a home 1 street over from my home. My back yard buttts up against their back yard. It is my Friend Tim, who is also friends with a few guys on this board ( Fracaso).......he trains boxers for professional and olympic berths. I will let you know when it will be televised.

PHIL, just take down the back fence and tell them that your backyard is part of his house, get them to do a makeover for you!!

That is one of the best shows on television. If you are on Clomid, then you will cry a river. This show is always a tear-jerker!

That is freakin' awesome though. I'd probably go and volunteer to help if i had the chance to do so....even though i don't know ass when it comes to construction...lol.

I want a front seat. Can we fill up the cooler with beers and get a couple of lawn chairs and kick back and watch? Oh don't forget to knock the fence down for the view.................

That's what I was thinking... front row seats to a three ring circle.

I haven't watch the show... I'd probably cry my eyes out. LOL

A home they did here in a suburb of Atlanta three or four years ago was just featured in the news. Being Foreclosed on. The family took out a $450,000 mortage on it to start a "construction" business that failed.

I personally think these homes should be done with convenants that you cannot borrow or sell for a number of years.

BTW the home was unbelievable that they could do it in a week,the show was a real tearjerker, and these people now come off as somewhat less than deserving.

It should be amazing to watch Phil, I just cannot believe some of the transformations in the time frame involved.

I LIKE IT

I am in construction and have been for years, have built full homes and plenty of additions so I can appreciatte what they are doing, and yes it's kinda sad that it takes a show to do that for those in need but at least people in this country are getting helped

They did a Makeover on a kids camp here close to my area its probably been a year or so ago. I work in construction also and I know some of the Local guys that were on the Job. They had a lot of stories etc etc.
But the one that stuck in my head is they all said the Ty guy is a Prick.
Real short with everyone and he only Flys in For Minutes at a time to film.
They said he was hardly around and his "secret room" or whatever he calls it is not built by him. Hes just an actor and a real dick from what they all said.

I do not know the guy, or if he is an actor, but he definately was a carpenter here in Atlanta prior to the show. He did also blow off a charity function where he was the main "draw" last month two days before the event took place. I do believe it was to do "Oprah". Who knows who was in the right? Someone can often take "try to attend" to mean "Contractually bound to attend". Its hard to know the real story, but he has a name so the mud is cast at him.

What they do has impressed the bejeezus out of me, I wish I could see one of those sites in action. I have been mildly impressed at some Habitate for Humanity builds, but they are nothing like what they show on Extreme Makeover.

I beleive that. I remember seeing him on Trading places before the Home makeover show. He seemed to be a damn good carpenter.
They just werent impressed with the guys attitude compared to all the others that were involved.

Sounds awesome, what is his story? I love this show, makes me feel right to see humans acting how we should.
