What's your favorite omelette?

Heat 1 tbsp butter
Dump in crate of egg whites mixed with 3 eggs
Top with sliced ham and mushrooms
Salt and pepper

That's mine but getting old. Tried mixing the toppings in vs topping taste like shit

Other favorites have included mixing in some yogurt, fruit, protein powder and freezing for a few minutes... desert like

Also like mixing in some natty pb, oats, little yogurt and Walden farms syrup for a breakfast vibe

2 eggs
230g whites
50g cooked ground beef or leftover salmon if available
Salt and sriracha to taste

Throw all that in a hot nonstick pan with a bit of spray. Cook 70-80% while turning fast, turn heat down, throw on a lid, then fold over, leave covered for a minute, then finally fold the other way and leave covered another minute or so.

Get this technique right with a big 10 inch pan, and you’ll have a huge omelet perfectly cooked every time. Top with ff Greek yogurt and avocado according to macros. Ideally enough carbs to have sourdough toast with it.

If you're ok with dairy try melting on top of your omelette some fat-free cheddar slices. Just after you turn off the heat. Also try some shredded bresaola instead of ham.
If you can find it, mix the eggs with a bit of powdered porcini mushrooms. Amazing.

Other then my spinach and feta omelets Can't say i ever make the same thing twice. it just depends on what i have in my frig as to how things turn out.

Very partial to spicy ground beef/turkey or hot Italian sausage in mine. Macro goals skew the selection of meat and eggs vs egg whites. Macros and calories also determine cheese or not.

I joke that when I didn't know how to cook I mixed apricots in my omlette and how gross it was. Dude, don't put fruit in with eggs or even yogurt, yuck.

I use what ever I have on hand as far as veggies or left over cuts of meat. With veggies you need to cook/sauté them so the moisture content decreases. Each veggie has a certain amount of time needed and you typically start with the harder veggies first. Once the moisture level decreases you can then kind of crisp the veggie with a little more oil or butter along with adding any type of meat. Get. the desired crisp without burning all items. Lower the pan temp significantly, you want eggs to cook slow. Over cooked eggs create indigestion. Low and slow, decide with you want to flip or not. Then add cheese to one side, let melt and then fold over and slide onto plate. Veggies/meat/egg ratio should be adjusted as you get an understanding how much to create thorough spread of content without falling apart. And most important part is to have catsup on hand otherwise all this is for waste.

Prior to starting eggs I get the oven started and toss in some sort of potato product to cook for 15-18 minutes at 420 temp. That way eggs and potatoes are done at same time.

Dinner Left Over Omelette....

3 duck eggs
200g chicken egg whites
(Cook on low until fluffy, thick, and ready to be folded)

Whatever fish, poultry, meat, potatoes and veggies are left over from dinner
(quick seared in the skillet so warm when folded into the egg)

Shredded smoked Gouda cheese
(Dump seared dinner leftovers onto the flat omelette, sprinkle Gouda shreds over the leftovers, and then fold the omelette in half)

Place a top on the skittle so that the heat is kept from escaping into the ambient air until cheese melts and holds everything together. Remove from pan and place onto plate.

Slather top of omelette in Guacamole
Drizzle with Texas Pete Hot Sauce or Sriracha Chili Sauce

For those asking "WTF are dinner leftovers!?"....true and good point. I always finish my dinner. Have a petite wife who usually does not finish hers. I eat for both of us.

Was with you 100% (especially on low and slow) until the ketchup. Don’t really like it all that much. Tons of hot sauce all day for me. I have about 30 different hot sauces in my fridge at all times.

My thoughts exactly lol. My only use for ketchup is for dipping fries in which I very rarely eat, they just don't do it for me anymore for my cheat meals

I actually put apricot preserves and other jams in my prison slop scramble and it’s fire as fuck. I know @Palifter is excited to try after his show lol.

I like jams or honey on omelettes too, without any salt tho...a few drops of sweetener and a ripe banana smashed with eggs.

Love me some Smuckers sugar free preserves spread on egg white wraps with a little natty pb. Pineapple mixed in. Sometimes add marshmallow fluff.

If I could find a way to mix preserves with an omelette that tastes decent that'd be a hell of a combo... prolly have to put in the freezer a bit doubt jelly and warm egg whites would be good

Ketchup is just nasty with everything, hot sauce all day.

My go to omelette, 3 eggs + whites, pickled jarred jalapenos + American cheddar, I'll add some protein I had the night before and call it a day.

You gents put a lot of time and odd ingredients in these omelettes....marshmallow fluff, sorry, but that just sound's nasty.

But hey, we all have different pallets, no right or wrong.

I put the jelly/pb/fluff on egg life wraps... sometimes a slice of pineapple...and just eat like a wrap. Definitely agree would be nasty on an omelette.

Some times I'll rip up low carb wraps or egg wraps and toss them in an omelette..add some texture.

I've been big on ketchup lately usually rotate between ketchup, Alfredo, and pasta sauce and Parmesan cheese on my turkey meal

Ketchup can be good on zucchini... usually eat a lb a day

Yeah I’m out on all of the above. Lol

Man...wraps like the carb balance or Xtreme wellness...or the 0 carb egg white ones (egg whites made into a bread wrap basically) are so versatile it's hard to screw them up. I feel like you can shove anything in them and it tastes good. The exception would be mixing "desert" type foods with "dinner" type foods....gotta pick one or the other

Dinner..out onion, mushroom, pepper, veggies, meat, ketchup, cheese, egg, Alfredo in there

Desert...whey... yogurt...whip cream... peanut butter fruit etc

The one exemption...I've mixed tuna, natty pb, mushrooms, cinnamon, syrup, and Carmel rice cakes and scooped it into wraps. Was actually pretty damn good

But I'm not a picky eater...if it's food I want to eat it. Salad being the exception lol
