I'm all for metal, especially 80's stuff, but I've got to say that non-lyrical extreme guitar stuff can get me going pretty well. Sometimes it's nice to just have the rhythm and a solid solo guitar without the lyrics. Of course I'm always up for a little mayhem and destruction type lyrical stuff too. I do play guitar, so maybe this is why it works for me.
