First Time Poster, Diet and how much Gear Question???

Hello Everyone, this is my first time post on this board and i love all the info. I have been reading everyone's advice for almost 6 months.. and decided to finally ask a question. First off i am dieting down for summer right now. I have dieted and bulked for years, but i am finally going to try to stay lean for good. Stats are...

I have dieted many different ways, but the best and easiest diet I have ever used is one similar to Dan Duchaines Bodyopus book. Basically the way i do it is no carb all week.. then depending on how I feel.. i start carbs sat. sometime.. all the way till i go to bed sunday night maybe 11pm. Then wake up mon and start all over again. For me.. I feel great on this diet.. and i have no hunger pains which have always been a big prob.
My question is... I am thinking of running some Test at 500mg a week.
Currently I do not take anything but ECA stack. Being on a keto diet is it benefical to take Test or AAS? I have used AAS in the past when cutting, but never on a keto diet. I have been holding onto muscle good so far, but I am afraid once I get below 10% BF that I will start loosing muscle on my Keto diet. I also thought for the last 4 to 6 weeks to start running some T3 at no more than 50mcgs a day. I have run it before and it worked wonders, but I do not know if it will burn up to much muscle while being in keto? I also do not want my metabo to slow down.. so thats my understanding of the carb up over the weekend to try to hold onto muscle and trip the metabo up somewhat. I love my diet and getting great results so far.... what do you guys think???

Why start thinking about t3 when your doing fine. Wait til you NEED it. It'll serve you better in the long run, as you'll know how to do things with your body w/o "help".
 
Hey Skul.. thanks for the advice. I Just turned 30 this year. Will the T3 eat to much muscle on a Keto Diet?
 
I would hold off on the t3. I am on t3/clen right now. Relatively low dose of both and I hate the shit. I'm considering dropping both. Does it work? Hell yeah! Does it do anything that a little extra cardio doesn't? Too early for me to tell yet but I suspect not. Do the sides suck? For me, that's a big "yes"! All in, I'm starting to see the light and as one wise member told me, "these are 'woops I phucked up my diet and wont be ready in time' drugs" and that's all. Oh yeah, I started off on Keto. It works, granted. I'm eating carbs now and I'm still loosing just as much fat as I did on keto, go figure.

Rider I've done the "BodyOpus" with great results years ago. Always with test. I do not think its the best way to go personally, but if it is working for you, that is important. One advantage to Steele's idea of not depriving yourself of all carbs is once you stop Body Opus you still have to come up with a new way of eating because obviously your previous way caused you to put on too much fat.

BTW I did not follow the training portion, only the diet.
 
Yeah the T3 does make me nervous because of muscle loss. Even though I would take Test. The biggest reason I guess I like the Keto is that I do not get hungry ever! That is a big thing for me. I also like fats n oils so I guess that makes it easier. I hope I am doing it correctly, because I never crave carbs, execept for Mon. when I am back on the no carbs. Should that be normal. I know my sticks are a dark purple. So steele did you get hungry when working with Phils diet? When I get to my goal BF % I was going to more of a 40/30/30 type of diet.. and still keep my carbs moderate... around 30%. I just really do not want to loose any muscle if possible. I am thinking of adding the Test though. So far my strengh is staying up.. but I am really thinking of just leaving the T3 out completely.. and just adding more cardio. I am hoping with the carb up over the weekend...and the extra calories... that my thyroid will stay high instead of dropping. What do you guys think. Thanks for the help btw. Ya its really crazy but my strengh hasnt gone down a bit yet. So you actually plateau'ed on a No Carb Diet Steele? How can you do that? My theory was to keep adding low intensity cardio more and more to keep burning fat? So i assume with Phils diet that you started eating more carbs but keep loosing fat. I am getting more and more interested now that you mention it. I mean I am basically doing the Keto to get to my goal of 7% BF. Then I want to go more of a balanced diet to feel better and stay between 7 to 9 % BF year round without going insane. So is Phils diet one that you can maintain a low BF with and do all the time? Thanks for the help bro
 
Thats my big thing.. once I get down to my bf % goal, then I just want to do it forever and maintain. I do not want to have to loose 30+ pounds again LOL
 
You dont really need the T3, until you hit a sticking point..then even at that point you could make diet or cardio adjustments...

Test at 500mg WK - should help you hold onto your muscle alot better, and probably even put some on...

I remember that book, BodyOpus...It was pretty cutting stuff back in the day
 
The T3 will strip muscle off on that diet. Carbs keeps us in a anabolic state when taken with protien and fats. T3 zero cabs = muscle loss. For me anyway but I was only on zero carbs for two weeks. It will be intresting to hear from those who have run it longer.
 
Ya I am thinking the T3 might be to much for muscle loss. It is too damn hard to build.. .and I sure do not want to burn it off. I think I will add the extra cardio sessions. From what I have heard recently... T3 is good for dieting.. unless your doing keto.. The Test seems crucial though!!
 
I am doing a similair diet and getting good results. I have tryed other diets and don't get results or have a hard time staying on them. Good luck.
 
What gear are u using bigprimp with this diet? Also what results? Thanks for sharing
