fish oil vs flax seed

which one you use and why...i am taking fish oil right now but thinking about when im done with this switching to flax...

what are the benefits of both of these and which do you like better?? i know fish oil is great for skin and joints/ligaments

I heard Flax Seed Oil raises estrogen or something......im sure someone will chime in with some knowledge on that...

Fish Oil has way too many benefits not to take it..
 
I bought combo Flax & fish oil caps. I figured both was better than one .

Ultra purified fish oil...do not use flax.....can convert to arachadonic acid.

Do you recommend a particluar brand of fish oil? And how much do you recommend to take? Currently I take about 4-5 grams of fish oil a day. Thanks.

What are your thoughts on Krill Oil? Ive heard its one of the best EFA's for the bber.

i just got regular omega fish oil caps and they are 99.9% purified ..thanks for the help they also contain DHA AND EPA

i always wondered what an appropriate dose of fish oil fat per day would be (as in the % of the fat you take in)

On my lower carb days i take in about 12-15g of fat each meal, and i make 3 or 4 of them fish oil based...

hi there phil, off the top of my head this jumped out at me 'cos I always thought flax inhibited the production of the inflamatory arachidonic acid because they were so rich in alpha linolenic acid, put me straight if you know different.

To get 3-6 grams a day you would combine the total mg of DHA and EPA in each capsle or teaspoon and try and get up to 3000 to 6000 mg of it per day, minus what you get in the foods you eat.

I like Carlsons lemon flavored oil. I get no fish burps and take a teaspoon at each of my 6 daily meals.

That's the one I use. Love it.
 
flax seed

I use ground up flax seed regularly. It caused a dramatic drop in my trigliceride level from 250 to 100. It also dropped my cholesterol level down. I take it on cycle and it has no effect on muscle gains. I still make the same gains on a 10 week cycle as I did before taking the flax seed.
