I’d say just roll with whatever low fat one you like the most and is affordable for your financial situationSo is it kind of agreed on that everyone’s favorite low fat fish is COD?
I’m kind of getting ready to transition to a lower fat diet with insulin incorporated in, so I’ll be scaling down my ground beef intake. Kind of burnt out on chicken, but fish I do love so I think that’s what I’ll go with for the moment
I used to eat probably 1-2lbs of tilapia a day years ago, until I suffered the worst food poisoning of my life. I was literally throwing up and couldn’t leave the bathroom for a couple days. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Since then I haven’t touched tillapia, and now after reading about how they’re raised, not really interested in going back to that. Maybe it’s what even caused the food poisoning? Idk
So right now it’s between COD and tuna
If I’m gonna have fat in a fish meal fuck it just give me salmonCod and Mac oil is great, I’d eat orange roughy 5 times a day if it didn’t make me shit orange oil and it wasn’t so high in mercury, so good
Yeah I’m just asking what everyone prefers.I’d say just roll with whatever low fat one you like the most and is affordable for your financial situation
I mean you could just say “I have nothing useful to add so I’m just going to get my post count up”It honestly does not matter . Just eat what you like
It’s one of my favorite fresh water fish for taste. Thick, flaky, buttery white meat. Easy to cook. Many options with the neutral, buttery flavor. Very versatile fish but not high end. Hard to beat when you factor in price and flexibility. So is it kind of agreed on that everyone’s favorite low fat fish is COD?

Appreciate you man. Looks like I’ll just grab a bunch of cod tommorow. Seems to be a lot of people’s favorite. Thanks againIt’s one of my favorite fresh water fish for taste. Cod has definitely become a go to for me not just for the flavor but the price too. The macros are excellent and you can do just about anything to it and it’ll taste good, at least to me. As mentioned earlier it’s also super easy to digest.Appreciate you man. Looks like I’ll just grab a bunch of cod tommorow. Seems to be a lot of people’s favorite. Thanks again
Try out pollock. It’s personal my favoriteYeah I’m just asking what everyone prefers.
Right now we have cod/tuna
Any other good low-fat options I’m maybe missing out on? Going to the store tommorow and going to get like 5-7lbs of fish to prep so just figuring it out now
No problem. And it’s been a while since I’ve bought any but I think Pacific cod is a little bit higher quality. I think perhaps because it’s usually wild caught and not farmed on the high seas like Atlantic cod. Both are delicious and for bulk meal prep purposes I’d opt for Atlantic. But just a single meal for taste and quality I’d go with wild caught Pacific.Appreciate you man. Looks like I’ll just grab a bunch of cod tommorow. Seems to be a lot of people’s favorite. Where do you live that has fresh Coley?Smoked Coley, all the flavor and texture of Smoked Haddock but without the annoying little bones.
Coley, Salmon, Cod, Chicken, Turkey, lean mince and Beef (rib roast) are my solid food staples. There's usually 1 of them in almost everything i eat. Keep mixing it up though, even the nicest cuts of meat get monotonous if u don't change it up often enough. Sticking to a cleanish diet is multiple times easier if u can actually enjoy what ur eating.
Smoked Coley and Salmon are definitely my top 2 preferences for taste and texture out of everything. I've gotten lockjaw once too often trying to get my macros with just beef or chicken, mixing it up is key for me.
