OK here it goes. this past july I had my ACL repaired and I've been off work since then and next Monday I go see the doc to get my papers to go back to work well i think , and as i get ready for this my buddy that works with me calls me up and tells me he's got bad news, Well as it seems March 1, 2008 GM it cutting 2nd shift which i happen to work, Now this is cool kinda cuz I get unemployment plus sub pay but I might get transfered to a diffrent plant which sucks cuz it only takes me 10min. to get to work and I've been there for 4 yrs and it feels like home and I hate change and dont like meeting new people , then on sunday while driving to church my wife tells me that she went to the obgyn on friday and her doc to her if we want kids we might want to hurry up since we are both 32yrs. Now dont get me wrong but I want a little one, but w/ my job in question and she just started a new job how is this going to work????!!!! I'm loosing my mind and I worry about everything so this is alot on my plate any advise would be great or if you are in michigan and own a business do you need any help? I can mig/tig weld,mach. repair/basic elec. lawn care, love old muscle cars, managed a auto detail shop for 3 yrs,you could say JACK of ALL TRADES

You might try pm'ing TEAMZ. He is in Michigan and own's a chassis and race car fab business.
For what it is worth if you wait for the "RIGHT" to have a baby you'll never have one.

We all hate change to a degree.What we really fear is the unknown. New work place, new work mates, new place to live etc. But in many of these cases change can be just what id needed. The fear creates aprehension and this puts up negative energy. Instead look at the pluses, You might love the new place to work, there may be a chance to earn more money. Look at it as a new door opening up new possibilities. Have a good look aroung the new area, there may be better work oppurtunitites also. Also this change is not going to happen for some time, look around for better oppurtunities. it is easier to get work when you have work!

But just 32? You guys have plenty of time to have a child! Maybe that ObGyn is drumming up a little business for himself? Maybe for your peace of mind... wait a bit until your job situation settles.

Thanks guys. Yes we talked about waiting for a bit, @ 32yrs I'm fine with a kid but the wife only has one overay (sp) so the doc told her the older she gets the harder it will be to try to have a little one
