I was under the impression once its mixed it has to stay in the fridge until used. It was mixed.

Should be good once mixed for 3-7 days at room temp. if BW was used for recon. Even if sterile water was used, you'd still be fine, though it'll only be good for 7 days in the fridge (or there about).
