Got stronger and maintained weight 5wks post cycle!????

I have been 5 weeks off all drugs, my previous cycle was:

test enanthate 500mg per week
deca 200mg per week
HGH 10 IU after training
Insulin 10IU after training
T3 15mg before training
T4 85mg before training
PEGMGF 500mg twice weekly
Nolvedex 20mg daily
Proviron 50mg daily

I managed to put on a lot of weight doing this combination of drugs, the biggest I have done so far. I managed to go from my show weight (around 14stone (196 lbs) at 3% bf) to 16st 10 (235lbs, 9%bf). I have come up with numerous assumptions for why my weight has not even dropped a pound and my strength has increased since i stopped the cycle. 5 weeks out I am pretty sure all hormones are out of my system and I should be having a crash and my glycogen and water retention in muscles should be low, therefore my weight should drop quite fast. I am interested to know if anyone has a subjective opinion or researched knowledge as to why this may have happened. Not that I am complaining but am now going to try and stay clean for as long as possible as my next show isnt until 2008.

Personally

I would expect you to peak right about now, even being "off". That first cycle of GH really promotes a ton of growth that you just do not lose if you do it correctly. You did it correctly.
 
Well I was hoping that was the reason, although still slightly skeptical. My experience with medication has always been unique, hence why my course may look slightly out of balance. In previous years when using just steroids even a moderate dose, could make me have numerous short term side effects almost as if I was overdosing. So I researched peptides decided to take them as I knew I could never really do high dose steroids - from doing this I have had these good gains, with no side effects... although towards the end I have had what I can only describe as overdose symptoms which I put down again to the steroids. I conclude from this that I have permeable receptor sites and therefore I only need a small amount and anything above that would be more toxic. But this is just an assumption. Obviously from this I favor peptides. Does anyone know anyone who is similar... who cant use moderate to high doses of steroids without feeling sick. Previous to this I made the mistake twice of taking similar to what my peers took... both times I was ill for the last month of the cycle.
 
I agree with Phil, But don't forget the long esters in the test and deca will still be working 6-8weeks post. Not at the higher levels while on but still active as the half lives come down. If you maintain a hard training and eating plan you will retain most of your gains. It is when/if you slack off that you will notice the drop. Good work Adam!!

True. Too many people change their training intensity because they are off. You should back down the volume, but try to maintain heavy lifts with proper form and keep tight on your diet. Dont listen to what anybody tells you, you CAN keep most of your gains from a cycle if you keep hammering at it, juice is not a crutch its a boost!
