Gym clothes Smell

Mildew from the sweaty shirt not being dried. I have been bringing them in with me after with the post shower and washing them along with myself. Then just placing them out somewhere outside to air dry.

the stink always stays in the printed on graphics or in the numbers on jerseys is the worrsssstttt lol... yes vinegar is good... I always add a scoop of OXy CLean and does it the same...

vinegar won't do shit, it helps a little but it doesn't kill the bacteria that are living in the polyester and causing the smell to return over and over. You must use bleach, you can safely bleach most polyesters, I use about 1/4th of a cup and make sure you don't add it directly on clothes (let the washer fill first if not automatic).

Or you can buy a product like Base Wash from Nikwax, it works as well, but not as well as bleach. It is safe to use on things you can't bleach however.

And like I said, poly needs to be washed inside out since it is touching your skin on that side. It acts differently than cotton. Vinegar can help.... Just not In every occasion

I've had this, and this is what works for me:

1) Let hem soak for a few hours in the washer with HOT water.
2) Don't use fabric softener.
3) Wash your gym clothes separate from other clothes.
4) I use Tide or Kirkland wash soap, but I add a little extra baking soda, and sometimes vinegar.
5) RE-rinse the clothes after washing.
6) Dry thoroughly.

You don't have to do that every time, but once every few loads is adequate for most...but of course tis will vary. I like the idea of adding a small amount of bleach, I'm always afraid I'm gonna fukkk up my colored clothes though, lol. Also, this also leads a way into buying white clothes so bleach can be used.
