Haitian Bodybuilder missing...really tough situation

The situation in Haiti is very sad. Here in Brooklyn..there is a large Haitian population and several people that I know have family members missing.

I have a friend who is a competitor who lives in NYC part of the year and back home in Haiti for the rest of the year. He has not been accounted for. He placed 2nd in his class ( lightheavyweight) at the IFBB Caribbean Championships in Greneda last year. His name is Phillipeaux Mckenzie...good guy with an outstanding physique @ 5'4 or so.. Mackenzi Philippeaux - Haiti Muscle

I am certainly keeping him in my prayers and hope that he is safe. Please do the same.

I received an email tonight from McKenzie... he and is family are ok. His home had some damage however he was much more fortunate than so many others. Its great to hear that he is ok..and it is so sad and devastating to hear that so many other have lost their lives and are suffering.
I just thank God for each and every day that I am living things like this are are real reality check..

Yes that is Brad. I believe he competed a few times in the muscle-mania in the past so Lou Swick must used his photo for the Brooklyn show... who knows whether he is natural or not

haiti was a rich carribean country in the early 20th century due to its tropical climate, very prosperous in agriculture field. it used to have high import tax (50%) and the country has enough supplies of food for its people. during the clinton administration, he forced haitian govt to drop its import duty to 2% so the american products can be competitive there. after that, haiti relies heavily on imports instead of their own, then they start to hire less and less workers and the unemployment rates skyrocketed. not against my own country but usa is indeed a selfish country

Is there any more news of him? The situation over there is very serious. I have read reports of over 100,000 killed. It is a tragedy of epic proportion. The ting is they do not get earthquakes there, well not in recent history anyway. My thoughts are with them.

Hey Oldfella...Mackenzie is ok... I received an email from him a day or so ago..his family was not injured either..apparently his home was damaged some however.. I had posted info regarding his recent whereabouts in a couple of post prior to this.

Well, as crazy as it sounds... its not so sure it was a "natural" earthquake.
