Help me make my wheels grow

high bar close stance squats all the way down. Takes some mobility work and stretching to get the right position but when you are able to sit down on your calves and keep your body as upright as possible your legs are much more involved instead of your back

I'm using almost 1/2 the weight i used to power squat with and my legs have grown 1"....off cycle

same here bro legs will respond well with good form and good control movement with 8-20 reps. Dorian yates and few other gurus have said only the short guys respond to crazy wieghts and squating cuase of there anatomy. I just seen jay cutler on md talking about this and his short workout partner was moving more but jay has prob the best wheels.

Now by no means am I a competitor, but I've always trained legs since high school. I agree with sexyboy. Big weight will come over time. Get your form down. Im 5'5 so I usually use big weight. Heck, I only gotta move the weight 10 inches, joking!!! Now Im just starting back to training full time, but between 2001 and 2007 I would go balls out on leg day. Working my way back to it.

The only thing I would do differently, is put my leg extensions first. Just my personal preference. Other than that bro, be patient. Eventually the tree trunks will start growing.

As far as weight taining... I would tell you to just train them when your legs/back feel FULLY recoverd, could be 2 days between WOs or could be 7... don't matter. For WOs I would squat heavy for 2 sets in the 4-8 range then 1-2 set to failure of 2-3 other exs with them.changing every WO.
If you can walk instead of run...walk,if you can drive instead of walk...drive, if you can sit instead of standing...sit!
If you want to gain muscle then just understand that any other exercise is really sending a contradicting msg to your body. If you wanna run,.ride a bike,.etc... fine.... but understand that it will slow gains.

ya bro 5'5 is a good height to move alot of wieght on the squat with bbing style im 5'9 1/2 i find the smith machine much better for getting my legs bigger.

you are hardly eating any protein at all in your diet.

2 eggs with your breakfast? when i was in college i was known as "the guy that carries around the bag of eggs" LOL. and i seriously did. i would carry around a bag of hard boiled eggs and cans of tuna (didn't really have tuna puches then or if they did i didn't know better) and i would crack eggs and eat em in class during lecture.
up the protein.
any moneky can go into a gym and throw around some weight. but the biggest monkey will be the one eating the most food.

If he wants to gain wt...yea he needs to up the calories but he Is getting plenty of protein. I prob average 150 a day and am often around 100. Just remember the rags make their money off supplement company's and they make their money selling protein.

I was told from a friend on here that got me into this that the 2 most important things in this sport are a knife and a fork..lol

150gms is enough:confused: guess it depends on how big you are and how big you wanna be;)
well, we can agree to disagree. on 150gm i would wither away and dissappear. heck i think my wife eats more protein than that.

Well that IS me in my avi and feel free to check the pic section for a few more pics and training vids.... I AM 275 at 5'10" and only on trt at 200 mgs every other week.... anyway.... you can take in as much as you want but once you have enough to fully recover....taking in more won't make you "recover more".
 
If you want to look like a bodybuilder and not a powerlifter, protein has to be the main macro nutrient. Eating only 150g of protein means dabbling in higher amounts of carbs and/or fats, and I know for myself I couldn't get to sub 10% that way.
