I work a valet job so I try to workout legs when I have a couple days off work to follow but sometimes it's unavoidable and I end up running on soar legs. What are your guys feelings about doing cardio when your legs have not yet recovered? Do you think its making a substantial difference in regard to repair/recovery and muscle growth? Maybe
I'm overanalyzing it but I know my legs need all the help they can get!

yeah you are over analyzing...it's fine

Doing light cardio is one thing and may actually enhance
your recovery, but running is an entirely different animal.

If your legs "need all the help they can get" then running
on them when they are not recovered, or even when they are
recovered, is not doing them any favors. If you are working
them as hard as you need to be to stimulate muscular growth,
then they need rest and appropriate nutrition, plain and simple.

This was just discussed, see also: http://www.professionalmuscle.com/forums/beginners-forum/59429-runnin-off-days.html

I had a feeling this was the case. I slaughtered my legs yesterday..BB Squats, DB Lunges, Leg Presses and Curls. When I was running today I could almost feel my body telling me to stop. Thanks for your insightful reply alfresco, you always seem to be very informative with your posts.

If you are a body builder going for max size, running is a little catabolic. Now, if you want to loosen up some of that lactic acid, running helps. When I was in the military we ran almost everyday, it hurt at first, but really loosed things up and gets the blood pumping after you adjust to it. I also believe that running allows you to have more cheat meals, just my opnion.

your probably right about running being bad, but im a rugby player and i run my ass off and my legs are pretty big, and so is pretty much every rugby player i know. but i guess i wouldnt consider myself a bodybuilder then
