For me, I can lose BF quite efficiently and I find that I "grow" more efficiently in the off-season when I don't worry about gaining a little BF. I think the mistake most guys make is that once they "bulk" and put on some BF, they don't always diet down afterward and lose the BF they gained. They end up going on ANOTHER "bulk" phase which results in an accumulative effect.
I try not to go much over 15% and I would say that for most, anything under 18% should be manageable! Much over that and it will certainly be much harder to shed!
