I used to do a routine that looked like this... What do you do???

Day 1

Bench press
Inclined Bench Press
Tricep Press
Abs


Day 3

Lat pull down
Seated Rows
Shoulder Press
Side Laterals


Day 5

Bicep Curl
Forearm Curl
Leg Press
Calf Raises

How do you perform your workouts? Just looking for a way to improve myself or a way to mix it up so the body doesnt get used to the same workout routines!:headbang:

I believe that progressing on squats and deadlifts has been single most important thing for my physique.

Browse thru the Articles forum. There are lots of good workouts listed. I read thru about 10 different routines and came up with a Hybrid-Old School 3 days-per-week whole-body routine. I'm currently looking to increase strength and hit most major muscle-groups each workout.

This is what I'm currently doing if your interested:

Part I
Squats-3x5, 1x20
Incline Barbell press-3x5, 1x12
Wide-grip Pullups-3xmax with just bodyweight
Overhead barbell push-press from floor-3x6
Barbell Curls-2x6, 1x12
Lying Pull-over & Press-3x6, 1x12
Calf Raise-3x10-12, 1x40-50 (drop set) whatever machine is available

Part II
Deadlifts-3x8
Leg Press-3x8
Incline Flyes-3x8, 1x12
Seated Behind-Neck Smith Machine press-3x8
Preacher Curls-2x8, 1x12
Parallel Bar Dips-3x8 (with added weight)
ABS-3 sets of any exercise where I can add weight/resistance

Part III
Barbell lunges-3x8 each leg
Flat Barbell Press-3x8, 1x12
Barbell rows-3x8
Military Barbell Press-3x6
One-arm dumbbell snatch from floor-3x10 each arm
Hise Shrug in Smith machine or with barbell-3x10-12
Calf raise-3x12-15, 1x40-50 (drop set)

I plan on following this routine thru january

if you're in a bind with workouts, and want to learn more about diet and find the right diet and work out for your body, hire phil hernon or one of the other great trainers on this board. i put it off for way too long, but i'm glad i did.

on the other hand, the suggestions the other guys made are good ones. good luck to you.
