In Canada if someone gets inside your home to rob you or for whatever reason, you're not allowed to shoot him lol At least in the states, you guys have some common sense laws.

Thats sounds so bazzare to me. Well at least Canada is a nice place to live with lower crime so I've heard. Here in the states you still can't just shoot them if they break in ( this might not apply to states like Texas) In most states its only legal to shoot as they are entering or from the front as it shows self defense. Shoot them as they flee or in the back and you might be in some serious trouble, which I think its a dumb. Most people are not going to be thinking this hard when an intruder breaks in, it all going to be instincts and reaction.

There was probably more fighting going on then we realized and ultimately it was the one guys parking over randomly finally pushed the other one over. Really unfortunate.

We've both discussed our upbringing and I think we all regret the injuries we've inflicted simply as result of protecting ourselves and family plus I grew up with all brothers and we kicked the bejesus out of each other. As far back as I can remember, even grade school I had to use my fists to be left alone. Being Catholic Polack in a school of WASPs didn't exactly help. Later, fists were used less and less simply due to wisdom, temperance, andlegality. I don't use my fists at all these days but I still feel the need to hit the bags and the firing range to this day - as if I'm staying sharp for some fight that realistically, will never ever come.

Must Thai and others mentioned here can also talk philosophically and intelligently on a number of subjects including writers both contemporary and ancient. I know that if I did find myself in the shit these are guys I'd want by my side. I was not enlisted. I was a contractor with DynCorp we were paid by USMC to collect and wrap up any and all tech for delivery back to Andrews. I only saw the aftermath and it wasn't pretty. Just so it's clear, I was there for the money. I had to get back home and finish school. But those were the worst shitholes on Earth. God bless the poor bastards that actually signed on the dotted line for all that bullshit.

I would think Muay Thai's recent posts of glorifying an unprovoked assault (and as always, his "badassness"), threats to other board members, demeaning attitude, and generally "epeening" to a degree I've never seen in recent history on PM would lead to a moderator at least trying to slow down this trainwreck. Guess it's more about wanting everyone else to know they've also bought into the "Muay Thai = badass" club. I've seen others over this many years shut down for far less, and I have no clue why this guy is getting a free pass...but this post certainly raises it's own questions.

I come here to relax, learn, and enjoy discussions that interest me in this culture of ours, been doing this for well before my join date, and my history in lifting goes back to the early 70's, I have little to no patience for this ego driven drivel that has been a recent history. You like the guy, great, you think he's all that and a bad of chips...again, great. You want to keep letting him do what he's doing, I have an issue when he's threatening and demeaning others, and we're all supposed to join in the circle jerk of his constant inflating of himself?

I do not want to have PM go anywhere, change into something it's not, and turn into a cesspool of ego driven fools that has been the downfall of many good boards. Can we get back to normal, instead of this "dick measuring"?

Never understood"brotherhood" aka being in a gang, frat, having "Boyz", a posse, drinking buddies. 90% of my friends are female. I prefer to spend my time with people I'm attracted too and that certainly isn't "homies." On a level gangs to meet seem somewhat gay, showing loyalty to guys, always being around them, trying to impress them. I only have so many days before I die I prefer to be in the presence of females as much as possible.

I agree with this. Some stuff has made me roll my eyes but this has been a great and informative thread, the debates and perspectives are much more entertaining than the original video and incident. Nobody should be crying for anyone to be reported, we don't have to agree or kiss up to eachother on every thread, debate is good even if it gets heated lol.

I will repeat myself, he had prior issues with this guy and still let his friend park there. Doesn’t matter if it’s for 10 seconds or an hour. You just don’t do that. What are guys like me and you going to do if someone like Shane comes towards us after yapping his gums in a threatening way? I know I’m splitting his fucking head open and laugh at him as lays there. Neighbor obviously isn’t like us and chose a different defense method. He eliminated the threat. I really can’t blame the guy. What is everyone saying if Shane beats the piss out of the neighbor and he’s out cold? “Oh why did he beat his neighbor up over a parking spot”. I’ve had guns pulled on me over the years and every fucking time it was my fault but once. I put myself in bad situations constantly. Whether it was in the street or bouncing in the clubs. The only reason I’m still alive is I knew when to just walk away or pure luck. Life is hard enough, just live a decent life, respect other people and their property and stay away from trouble. Bad things happen on their own, no reason to invite them as well. Self defense of you and your family is the only justification for violence

As much as I want to agree with baldnazi and sazo, I just watched the video. The shooter is hiding his gun in the pocket. If he feels a threat coming, all he had to do was show the gun, and Shane could have backed away. While there are two sides to a story, I am willing to bet the shooter is no angel and should have to pay. Just from the video you should not be able to argue self defense. thats fucked up if you can .

No actually that's called brandishing a gun it's against the law
