I had to take a few weeks off from lifting due to moving and everything. So today I went to my new gym and decided I would do a light chest and back routine to get everything going again. I normally only do one muscle per day, but figured today would just be a warm up.
So I started off with incline dumbell presses. On my second set with 85 pound dumbell's, I felt a sharp pain in my right Lat / Rear delt (I am guessing the origin point). I have never felt that before. As I pushed the weight up, it sounded and felt like a grinding in the muscle, and it hurt. The weight was light for my chest, and I was still warming up. I was not expecting to injure my back while doing chest.
The only thing I have done lately was shoot my Bow in the weekends, and maybe the muscles there were tight.
Any idea what I did?
I put heat on it when I got home, and had my girl massage it, then put ice on it. Now it is kind of throbbing, so I hope I did not tear anything.
