in my office. i have clients try taking glutamine first.. your body naturally converts it to glucosamine and chondroitin.. if that doesn't work.. then i switch them to taking an actual glucosamine supplement.. you can also try boswellia for a natural anti inflam.. msm is good as well..
i have never used them or suggested them to my clients.. a normal person. i just have take 500 mg of glutamine daily.. me on the other hand.. when i feel problems.. i take 25-30 grams a day.. just make sure to take between meals.. it can have an effect on protein absorption as well.. and we dont' want that..
