Ok so the recent cabergoline study scared me about the leaky valves so I just had an echo done today. Well, i've been on GH for about 2.5years now. I'd say around 4iu's-6iu's for about 1/2 that time if not a little more and the rest was bridging with it. Around 2-3iu's. Anyway, I used cabergoline from the start using .5mg around 2-3times per week. ECHO came back perfect. She said my valves and entrie heart are perfect, except I have a little too much muscle around the heart. She said its due to heavy lifting, but im sure all the GH and AAS had a little part as well :) Anyway, I was still in the normal range but on the high end, but then again she also said this would be a problem if in someone small, but due to my size its not a huge issue now but could be down the road. Either way, my valves are good, so thank GOD cabergoline didnt effect me.

glad to hear everything is ok. i had an ecg and ekg done on my heart a few years ago before i even started using gear and my heart was larger than normal. all the doctors said that its very common in weightlifters and athletes and shouldnt pose any problems. the only time its bad is if you dont lift or anything and you have an enlarged heart for some weird reason.

If anyone is concerned about their valvular function, it will be very unlikely that an ECG will detect valve problems.

An echocardiogram will be the gold standard for detect valve issues.
If a fairly large murmur is involved, a doctor will be able to hear it with a stethescope, but that will be largely dependant on your blood pressure, and blood volume at the time.

A murmur will be a secondary problem to the valve issues also, so it may not manifest initially.

I actually had a small murmur when I was a little kid, and the primary dr. I went to first heard it and said its so small, but I asked if I could stil get an echo to play it safe(couldnt tell her I was on cabergoline) and she ok'd it. They echo showed that my valves were perfect and they told me the murmur is "functional" which basically means not a problem.

In truth, we all have murmurs, we all have murmurs across every valve in our heart. It is just like shutting a door....some air is going to leak back across. So, when your valve closes, a few red blood cells are going to leak back across. The higher the pressures in your heart (and in a well functioning heart, the ventricular pressures especially in the LV will be high), the more likely you are to have a murmur.

It only comes to be a problem when there is a physiological problem with the valve that is causing blood to pour back across it.

Many bodybuilders have problems with diastolic dysfunction, cardiomyopathies, and other types/symptoms of congestive heart failure and don't know it.
The heart and kidneys are closely involved in the body. I feel that many problems bbers have with their heart and kidneys could be averted if more of them had echocardiograms done.

I think a lot of people just "dont want to know." Its much more comforting to just pretend your fine. I agree this is stupid but just a natual reaction. In a way, I just wanted to cancel everything last minute to feel better LOL but here is a ? for you. When you say " I feel that many problems bbers have with their heart and kidneys could be averted if more of them had echocardiograms done." What will this prove? If a problem comes up, I presume they have to quit all drugs, which pretty much ends their passion. So I wonder if they would really throw in the towel,or still continue.

Thats great news cause I really like the effects of cabergoline:D

have any links to recent studies on cabergoline? I love this stuff, still have some I use on occasion.

I am using the kind from IBE, but I havn't noticed anything yet.
I mainly got it to help from the effects of tren and deca.

So why on earth when such a study is made they forgot to mention that there are scors of healthy people totally unharmed by various drugs. That's why I am not imediately jump to conclusions or panic after a such an study.

cabergoline has had tons of studies done and has been found to be a safe anti prolactin / dopamine agonist, with a very low side effect profile. Once in a while some people have reactions to drugs that most don't. There is always some risk when taking any drug, but this heart valve issue is being blow out of proportion by Lawyers looking to start a class action. We use this at such a low dose its really a non issue. Typical doses for parkinsons or as an anti prolactin are much more than what we use. At higher doses used in studies it was regarded as very safe. So I wouldn't freak out about it. The AAS we are using are more likley to cause problems than a little Cab. IMHO !!

I think of this kinda like ephedrine or clen. Taking the recommened doses are fine, but taking over 10x the recommened dose will easily have damaging effects. I got a ? though. Would it be better to keep prolacin in the normal ranges, or take more caber and get them on the lower side. I wonder if there is any harm of having "too low" of prolacin levels?
