I belong to a key card gym its open 24/7. All the other gyms in my area are like 40 plus minutes away...Can't find a gym partner..It really sux very tough to get motivated when your by yourself...never mind trying to lift heavy bench and squat...ugg I guess I can only do what I can do hopefully someone comes along...Guess I just needed to vent.

theoretically, if our minds in the right place, we should be able to get the job done with or without a partner.....but I know what you mean man.....I definetly lose intensity when working alone.....can't put a price on a good partner. I feel your pain for sure

I feel your pain. I lift by myself 99% of the time and actually have gotten used to it and prefer it. Too many bad spots on lifts, guys not showing up, etc.. You'll find a way to modify your workouts/lifts and be just fine. Once in a while I am able to hook up with an old friend/lifting partner and it makes the workout really cool. In Ipod I trust...

The only time I feel like I really really need a workout partner is on squat day. I'm just too scared to go all out with no spotter...

Other than that, I just stick to dumbbells for all my heavy upper body work and it works out just fine.

yes, definately stick with the dumb bells.

Best workout equipment ever made.

Yeah, i lift alone 99% of time as well. Only on heavy bench it sucks. On heavy squat days i just go to failure and make sure those safety rails are locked in tight/
