Lifting Form/the Altering Physique

Other than the normal protocols(diet, sleep, aas) used to build muscle one must be conscious of the form that one uses which ultimately develops and shapes the muscles of the physique. I was told by a national level competitor that this is very important because everything you do will reflect on stage. The form is not only used to avoid injuries but also for how your muscle will stand out on your physique. for instance when doing curls for biceps the position of the forearm should be turned outward just a bit for the bicep to grow and stand perpendicular as opposed to the bicep growing and leaning inward, or when doing hack squats you should position your body in the way you'll be standing on stage

figured i would bring this to this board for feed back by a pro, advance body builder, or anyone who uses or have used this method

Sure form is going to affect the way you do things. Theres and FRM(full range of motion) and ERM(effective range of motion). Both of which are good but at certain times one is needed when the other isn't. Both with put more or less stress on the point of emphasis.

agreed with both will put more or less stress but at what times wouldnt one be needed without the other?

wouldnt you think that the FRM and ERM would coincide, one complimenting the other, maybe one(FRM) used to fill the particular muscle up with blood and the other(EFM) shaping it

completely, that's why I posted about it. Think about when you do partials, or box squats or a numerous amount of other exercises.

Genetic

I don't think doing a different type of curl or turning the wrist in or out will change the predetermined inhherited genetic shape of your bicep or any other muscle for that matter. Many great BBR's have pitiful form and would have looked the same no matter how they trained if the resistance is on the muscle. Just my opinion but then everything I know could be wrong.

Correct. Form will not change the shape of your muscles. They are what they are, they either grow or they don't. I hate all these bullshit myths about 'shaping your muscles'.

yup, we can alter size but not shape. Origin and insertion are what they are.

when we say shape we mean the way they stand out bro.. use your head

definitely, but muscle is flexable, this is 1 of the reasons why form is important. as the muscle grows(altering size) ,so does its shape.

What do you mean the way they stand out?

No matter what way Arnold did his curls he would STILL have major peaks.

And a guy with no peaks no matter what strange angle he lifts the weight will he be able to change that. He can increase the size but NOT the peak.

see this is where you lose what is being said. when the muscle is growing its going to take on its shape and form in which its genetics allow, this is base something we all should already know, but the point is that if the muscle has the potential to peak then that has to be brought out(shaped) and worked on. that is the point bro..

Genetics are what they are but you can do some things to change them. Just like the peak of a bicep. If you don't think so then start doing alot more preacher curls and see what happens. I'll bet the "shape" or appearance of the bicep starts to change.
