if liver enzymes are elevated for prolonged periods is permanant damage caused ?even if only slightly elevated should one make sure that they return to normal on a regular basis by detoxing from the offending culprit ?

hope i make sense

I think chronically high GGT lvls are better indication of liver damage than AST/ALT. So, look at that.

Chronically high liver enzymes mean some damage is occurring, although the liver has great regenerative capacities, unlike the kidneys. Damage can occur even without clear signals from the enzymes.

Context means a lot. Are you getting any tenderness if you push on the liver under your right side rib cage? Are you doing orals? Drinking? Taking a liver toxic med like Tylenol or methotrexate?

My advice: remove the offending substance and get the enzymes down. You can run a pretty aggressive cycle using oils and peptides/gh/slin. Not sure orals are really needed at the price of liver trouble.

In addition to ditching the offending substance, there's a list of detoxifying compounds:
- lipoic acid
- NAC
- milk thistle
- the blend synthergine is supposed to be great

Elevated AST/ALT is a meaningless test if you have worked out in the last 2-3 days.
