Lost my favorite GIRL

August 1st my mom lost her life to cancer ( small cell ).The doctors ran tests for a month until they found it in her bone marrow. It all happened in 3 short weeks. I thought I would be strong as an ox thru this but I wept like a baby.
I am still a bit dazed but my faith has made me strong. Bottom line people, life is short so appreciate your family everytime you are with them. I know you all know this. I am just doing a reminder.

Wedge, that is very tough.

Thank you for posting that message. All of us need to keep in mind how precious the gift of life really is. Someone close to me lost her mother last year. It sure doesn't mean you're weak to shed tears for the loss of loved ones.

Sorry to here that Wedge. My mom just had 2/3 of her lung removed in Dec. due to cancer. Now she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worse. Good luck.

Thanks alot guys, I appreciate the good words. My parents were married 48 yrs and my Dad was blown away on how quick it took her down. I got my eye on him and he seems to be holding up well.

CUZ, Bless your mother. She may have another big battle ahead so take care of her and do the little things to make her feel better. Keep me posted please and my prayers are with you.

WEDGE,

I just nlost my grandmother a few weeks ago...I too thought I was strong enough for this, but at her funeral, when the pics of her and her life came up, and I saw her holding my neice, I cried...it is ok to shed tears for your loved ones that you lost.

be strong and we will pray for her.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It was very hard to lose my dad to emphasema, and I know my mom hasn't got a lot of years left with us, and the thought of losing her breaks my heart.

wedge, you sound like you have a huge heart. You must have made your mom very proud. Take care of your dad. I can't imagine him needing you any more than he does right now.

Take care of yourself and your family. Hold them close to your heart always, in life and in death.

Asylum, take care of your mom even when she gets upset. I know I miss the butt chewins my mom gave me. ( even at 44 yrs of age ) I travel out of town weeks on end but I always check in twice a day. I know your dad and my mom are in a very special place. We will see them again!

Hey wedge i know how your feling i lost my dad a little over a month ago july 13 he was 45 years old. Im still hurting from it all. Keep your head and sprits up. I feel your pain bro. Best wish you to and your family.
