T4 is bad for me because it raises my reverse T3 to excessively high levels. I get horrible symptoms whenever I take anything with T4. Others do well with the combo though.

That's interesting. How did you figure that out? Do you have hashimotos or anything?

No I just can't convert T4 into T3 properly, therefore my reverse T3 is already high. If I add T4, it gets even higher and I really feel hypothyroid. This is through experimentation.

What about preg I always read they should be supplemented together. Pref might be making me tired but sure

If I take t3 I think my T4 pools snd my t3 attaches to my cortisol and I get tired. If I take t4 I get shaky but feel it, I would imagine from not having the cortisol.

No expert but sounds cortisol or selenium related. Maybe iodine but I feel like any more than the rds or lower makes me feel like shit.

I spent 3 years of my life trying to figure it out so you are right to suggest these things.

My selenium is optimal. Iodine is difficult to test but I consume plenty and even tried high doses of it.

My cortisol was low at all points of the day during three different saliva tests I took, so I take Hydrocortisone 25mg per day.

These things have completely transformed my life (The T3 especially but probably the HC too). I couldn't get out of bed at one point. Amazing difference.

I have similar issues. I rely on Add meds which is somehow related it’s like my metabolism and attention shuts down with out them. . I wouldn’t have even known what I know and just accepted it, had I not had the stims to keep me functioning. I think in the past my dhea was normal thou. I gave up for a long time and have just been working around this issues instead of focusing on them. Also vitamin D might have made a difference, not sure. I plan on getting thorough bloods soon and trying to figure it out again.

I think the reason my thyroid always comes back normal is my body just turns down my metabolism to use less to compensate long term. If that’s possible. I also have nodules which I didn’t find till my late 20s on my own when I asked a doctor to look. Honestly I’m from NYC and you have to be your own doctor. How can I go through life and no one palpated my thyroid.
