Met Matt DuVall, Super Nice!

I was at the pittsburgh show and saw him standing in the back of the auditorium. Shorter than I thought, but EXTREMELY thick!
I walked over to him and congrtulated him on just turning pro recently, and then got a pic with him.
I can honestly say that he was one of the nicest guys I've ever met. And for a fact THE nicest pro I've ever met.
We shot the shit for a few minutes about my past BB shows and how my bud was competing in the SHW class.
He wished me well as I left and said he would be cheering for my bud in the show.
I was so floored by him being so social with me that I got nervous and fell at a loss of things to say. lol. I am very easy to talk to, but he just threw me off when he started asking me questions. lol. I felt like a bit of a dope when I walked away.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that not all the pros can act so superior and uncaring about thier fans.
The only other pros I've met that impressed me and actually acted like they gave a shit were Kelly Ryan, and the great Dave Draper. I've met plenty at the Arnold and National shows, so you begin to get skeptical about even approaching them at all.
Most of them are just like "thanks" or "what's up." and just keep going, but Matt wasn't like this at all.
I think Iabadman and DC are pretty good friends with Matt so I hope they can pass on the actual joy I had of meeting Matt.

I met Matt in AZ

Hes fucking cool as hell and came up to me at a show and said youve got an impressive physique I was like thanks man ,,, wow he was really down to earth.

That's cool to hear. I read thru the latest issue of Musc Dev (well, latest here) and had heaps on MDuvall - he's come on strong and is a very solid package. One of those physiques (like Dorian's) that just says hard work, no shortcuts.

when testy was freinds with Matt i got to eat dinner with matt before the NOC a while back, you know that diner at the corner next to the beacon thearter where everyone eats.. and he was the nicest guy... i really enjoyed talking with him...

Mat is a super nice, gracious and well spoken athlete. Can't wait to see him on a pro stage. He will be a great ambassador for the sport. Hope to see him at NOC, he usually is there.

Guys, MattD's training partner is PatK, a vet member of this board and a good personal friend of mine. Both are sort of local and Ive hung with PatK. Met MattD at the Arnold. I mentioned I was buds with PatK and a couple of other guys Matt used to train with
when he was young. He acted like I was HIS friend-just as cool as shit. Id really like to get him on here, or chat with him some, hopefully at the Bodyrock. He had zero 'additude' if you know what I mean.

But there are MANY really cool pros. Matt is definately one of the tops.

Also, make sure PatK passes on how impressed I was with him being so nice.

talked to matt alot over the last weekend. I was at my first show and he was allways checking in on me to see if I was ok and if I needed any help. I couldnt say enough about the guy.

That's my DAWG! Matt is definately one of best people you are ever going to meet. He is true and has a heart a big as himself. It runs in his family, his mother is one of the nicest people that I've ever met and like Matt would do anything for anyone. The Duvall family are truly great and family to me. Matt is not only my training partner, but my best friend and a brother to me. I can't say enough good things about him. MikeS thank you for the kind words, you are top notch too my bro! Guys, I would love to get Matt to come by here and put in some info. It's going to be hard as he does run his own business and his familys as well. I've never seen anyone work so hard and be able to maintain a bbing lifestyle. Amazing!!!!!! I will surely pass on all the kind words to him and try and get him to stop in and say hello.

Hey buddy! Yeah, I know....haven't been around much. I'm doing good, just super busy as usual. As far as the bodyrock, well I may compete......not sure yet. I'm training and dieting for it, but I'm afraid that I didn't put on the added muscle that I was looking for this off season. I will know in the next few weeks. Either way I will definately be there and Mat will be there as well. Also, let me know how many people are coming with you and I'll be sure to get you some VIP passes. As you know we are one of the main sponsors, so it's no problem.

Also, I believe Dexter J. is coming back for the Bodyrock. He guest posed for us this past weekend at the VA State show. He's a cool dude. I've met him a few other times, but this past weekend we hung out with him the whole time and really got to know him. Also, Ronnie will be guest posing this year and as usual there will be a ton of pros there. We will definately hang out my friend, take care!
