Stallone offers evidence in hormone case

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone has provided medical documents to Australia's customs after being charged with importing 48 vials of banned human growth hormone, his lawyer told a Sydney court on Tuesday.

Stallone, who has not yet entered a plea, was not in the Sydney court for the brief hearing. His case was adjourned until May 15 to allow customs to examine Stallone's medical material, which was not revealed in court.

Stallone's lawyer, John Chicken, said the matter should be finalized soon. "We're certainly seeking to move to a resolution," he told the court.

The Australian Customs Service has charged Stallone with one count of importing a prohibited import when he was detained at Sydney airport on February 16.

Customs said the 48 vials of prohibited human growth hormone were found in his luggage. The maximum fine for the offence is A$110,000 (US$91,600).

look about 1/4 of the way down the page. looks like its FDA approved. i don't know why a guy with a ton of money like Stallone would bother ordering overseas for non FDA approved GH when you know he's got the cash to go the legal route.

So if his DR was fron Outside of USA, and pres Jino its all kosher!

for him to have a script in the U.S. jintropin would have to be FDA approved. now to travel abroad sly would have to carry documentation ie. perscription from his doctor so he can claim these drugs when entering another country. so yes outside the US the FDA doesnt mean shit but inorder to get a legal script in the states it has to be, so inessence he had to have one to have the other and with the other (script) he can legally travel abroad with his perscription medications and not get into trouble with customs, that is if he would have claimed them in the 1st place.

If you are caught with possetion of a prescription drug here (including steroids or GH), max fine is $450 per substance. It's just like a speeding fine. A breach of the act.

BUT, if you try to import anything (even if it's the EXACT same drug, in the same packaging and same manufacturer), it's $5,000 fine per unit and jail time. Because you are not just breaching the act, you are now a criminal trying to smuggle into the country prohibited imports (steroids, heroin, etc).

When I was raided, cops were looking for imported gear. I had my normal gear, even stuff that wasn't on script sitting on the bench, but they didn't care about it because it was Aust gear.
