My wife is pregnant finally!

After a little over a year my wife is finally pregnant. A lot of my posts have been related to the trials and tribulations we have been facing. For all the guys out there keep trying it will happen. I just took another sperm test so it will be intersting to see the results. If anyone is intersted I can give what I was doing to help me and what improvements it made (not under a doctor's supervision) The funny thing is that I just saw a urologist who specializes in infertility and we were in the process of getting 2 more semen analyses and blood work so we could work from there. Guess I dont need him.

Currently I was using 2.5 mg femara 3x week/ 75iu HMG 1x per week which the doctor said would help and he didnt tell me stop for the semen analyses and blood work. Good luck

I would really like to know about this. Our fertility doctor says that there isn't anything wrong with either one of us, but we've been trying for 3 years without her getting pregnant.

Even though the doctor says nothing is wrong with either one of us, she says there is nothing that I can do. She says the only person that can go through treatment is my wife. Is this true?

So frustrating.

Good idea. Aromasin maybe instead of femara, but whatever works. But the HMG in addition to HCG and staying off all aas and all peptides and benzodiazapenes (they affect sperm integrity, morphology mostly). Just stay clean and take the fertility meds, anti-aromatase, hcg, and hmg.

It depends on the results of the testing bro. If you've had a semen test done and the results came back with a high count and good motility then there likely isn't anything wrong with you. You can still go ahead and request a check of your hormone levels (LH, test, etc.) but if that comes back normal then there really isn't anything that you can do. If you haven't had the testing done then there's no way to know who may be the problem or if there even is one because in some cases a fertile couple just has a lot of difficulty concieving the first time (happened to my sister in law, they couldn't get pregnant so they adopted, then bang she got knocked up and had 3 kids in a row).

Has your girl had all the testing done yet? My wife has had blood tests at various points during her cycle, and interal ultrasounds and stuff to see if her bits and pieces were all in place.

Not directly related to anyone here, but it amazes me how many people think getting pregnant should be so simple and easy when in fact it's a complex process.

My wife and I were married for 7 years before we had my daughter and during that time, only the first year and a half was on birth control, and there were more than a few miscarriages. There are so many other factors besides test levels, semen and the like. Stress is a huge factor, for both sexes and timing when the woman is actually fertile is essential. I've noticed that those who TRY and TRY and do it solely because they want the child when in my opinion, it should be done as much for enjoyment as the want of having the child. If all of the suns and moons and stars arent' aligned, then the body simply will not be strong enough to support a new life and that goes along with those who so desperately want to get pregnant. It becomes the single driving need and as such, the person begins to stress out about it and the body will not be primed to carry that child....that's why many people, such as the last poster's sis in law had several children of their own, AFTER the stress of conceiving was lifted.

On the other hand, my other theory is that crack heads can have so many children so easily simply because they don't care, they aren't concerned about bringing a child into the world to raise it, their only concern is the next rock they gotta get....

Thanks for the well wishes. A long road is ahead. My doctor actually treats a lot of bodybuilders and I asked how so many bodybuilders have kids. he told me a lot do IVF or sperm injection depending on how infertile they are. My count was aprox 5 million/mL with 90% motility which he said should be enough since my wife is 24 and healthy. At that time I was using the femara and HMG and he thought it would work so I kept going with it. Also, 8/10 times it is the woman who has the problems.
Blood work today for every hormone and latest sperm test results in 2 weeks. Get a real sperm test if you are in doubt. you need a script and insurance doesnt cover it. its about $150. you get peace of mind and a lesbian video to whack off to in my case. A good story for when my kid is older.
Also, airsupply IVF would work in your case if you both are healthy but its very expensive (10 grand). good luck

This is so true. Some people just don't understand the how stressful it becomes when you have to go to a Dr to get pregnant. I have to say this was the most heartbreaking thing next to my divorce that I have ever been through. My family just could understand me, and they did give any support at all.

After 4 years of infertility treatments, my ex's could produce sperm but they would all ended up dead from some reason, so we couldn't do AI or IV. I had endometriosiss so bad that I ended up having a hysterectomy. We didn't have any children, but probably for the best because we ended up divorced.
