The other test will confirm if you need to donate blood or not. I hate jumping straight to that as I do not believe in blood dumps, BUT donating annually for health benefits is great. It absolutely will lower ferritin and pull the iron from the tissue into the blood.
How long time off gym to retest?Ferritin is an acute phase reactant and is heavily influenced by inflammation (recent training session) if it's super high. Re-test when you're relaxed and rested from the gym and it should be the true amount.
My ferritin at its highest was 648. still sitting on the high end with tesosterone 345, much impoved
Mine are reported in mcg/L
3 days should be enoughHow long time off gym to retest?
MS
A generic doctor answer lol. A common cold is due to steroids when your doc knows you’re on cycle. They weren’t taught this stuff in med school (how to treat bodybuilders). My doctor said it’s from the steroids… lol
Even tho there’s an inverse correlation between testosterone and ferritin - generally speaking
Got the flu? Steroids
Twisted your ankle? Steroids
How’s your IronAttached some numbers from my most recent bloodwork. Pretty much all other figures were in line - including CRP
not sure what to think - as I dont have any infection or inflammation from a bad shot going on at the moment or anything... and i dont have hemachromatosis as far as i know?
been feeling a bit cognitively off/loopy for a while - so i thought i would look into it. Any thoughts appreciated.
(never had covid or any of the 'safe and effective'(s))
Just saw I had Ferritin 300 but normal Iron my doc wasn’t concernedHow’s your Iron

If you haven’t donated blood in the past year I would do that and add some beef liver in your diet or supplements. Should bring it all back into balance.
That’s not what I said. LolSo that ferritin that’s more that 2x the top of the normal range likely isn’t due to anything?
Should I get it retested after a phlebotomy?
That’s not what I said. Lol
High ferritin indicates your body is storing too much iron generally. Not in the blood, but in the tissues, thus I made the suggestions I did.
By doing the things I suggested above lol. Beef liver and donating blood.sorry
just woke up lol (its my day off)
how do i get this iron out of my tissues?

^^^hey brotherhow do i get this iron out of my tissues?
It’s good to have options^^^hey brother
► in the USA ..FDA approved Iron Chelators
deferoxamine
deferiprone
deferasirox
↑ BTW; they work well
►the OTC supplement "IP-6"
..effective natural Iron chelator
..works well
..be careful how long ..& when you dose as it also chelates other essential minerals
►Iron increases oxidative stress
..so counter this with Vitamin-C
..2-6gm/day
..start with 1g 2x/day ..& work your way to the higher doses to avoid loose poop
+
Vitamin E
1000iu 2-3x/day
→ GLUTATHIONE is massively effective for this as well
.
^^^with his blessing ..or not ..donating is where i would start (..as other have recommended)It’s good to have options
My doctor said my blood levels(RBC and crit) were at the top end of normal, so maybe he will be agreeable to the phlebotomy route
- not that I should even have to ask him lol
