(notorical question) what do you guys do when youve maxed out machines at your gym

(retorical question) what do you guys do when youve maxed out machines at your gym

like i cant put any more plates on the leg press or sitting calve machine, all the other gyms around are the same scenerio, buying your own machine is redunkoulous, i can rig more weight on the leg press to an extent but it can be dangerous, i can only do so many reps before im not lifting for size, what to do? you have to find those gyms out there that have ronnie coleman leg presses for 2500 pounds ill be good then

Find at least two hot gym babes to sit on the machine for added resistance :D

If that doesn't do it for you find yourself a fat guy or two and see if you can max that weight. Why can't you do squats? You will never max out the squat!!!
 
Or why don't you up your rep count? Then try and go deep... Knees to chest.
 
Try pre-exhausting. If you usually do leg presses first on quad day and you have maxed out the plate load, try rotating it in a different part of your workout. Maybe put it last, after you have done hacks, squats, extensions....etc....
 
put a chain around a plate and hang it from the pin. might wanna ask first some get mad.

go too deep, your lower back will take all the pressure. Rounded lower back=not good.

you seem to think that higher reps don't get you size? What do you think your legs will look like when you are doing 5 sets of 30 with all the weights you can fit on your machine with good depth. they will grow.

lol guys at least im pretty sure, i mispelled it, its a retorical question means a question you already know the answer to but kinda starting conversation, like my grandma will ask me what im doing when im clearly siting on the couch watch tv ,idk.


but ya i do sqauts, i prefer to only hit the close stance style, as well as doing so on the leg press, but the leg press i feel hit the legs in a way i like more than the sqauts, as well as way more weight and less lower back pressure. the chain wraping around it with more weights is an idea to an extent. as far as doing 30 reps , yes i agree they still would grow, but again to an extent, or not as quick as you would rising more weight. reminds me why a guy asked me why i bring in my own dumbells the ones you add reg plates on, i was doing dumbell benchpress with 130's. he said why dont you just do the 100's (at the gym) more times, i said well why dont i just do the 10 pounders even more times, its because im trying to get bigger and stronger, more reps will build more strength enduranance vs. size.

dam i didnt even think of that, just saw that, that would def work, would def turn some heads and rise questions. i think i might try it, but how much more weight would all you guys add on to it, considering the machine is rated for what it is. at one of my gyms a while back they removed the leg press cuz it broke but i dont know if that was weight related, the last thing you want is that to break while your in it
 
Try doing the leg press with 1 leg at a time.


Calves... something like Dante's protocol of an extended hold in the stretch position will lighten the load for a long while. Or just pick a new exercise that you can load up properly

ahh another good peice of words, ill def try it, im curious if it would make you feel a little uneven or offcentered with your back, but have no idea, ill give it a go and thanks

Now that's funny. I just snorted coffee out my nose!

When I was a bit younger I would go into the machine area and use the machines with the pins racked at the bottom. I would like to see the look on the faces of the folks that followed looking for the pin like it was lost.
 
grab a second pin from another machine. put it into one of the holes in the middle of the weight stack, but dont stick it all the way in, leave enough sticking out so you can put a plate on it
