I'd like to try the new braun shaver but I am concerned I won't be happy with it. these damn Gillette fusion razors cost a fortune but they are the only ones I can use. and they only last me 2-3 shaves tops. my beard is like barbed wire so they don't last long at all. any feedback would be great.
thanks

just get one with the 3 circular shaver things on the head unit, they spin clockwise or something and work great very mild no RAZORBURN, they usually come with a sideburn shaver attatchment kind of like a taperer if you know barber terms...

those throw aways end up costing you MORE than an electric shaver bro, do the math save $$

that's the thing I can't decide on, the rotary heads like Phillips/norelco makes, or the type braun makes.

norelco yeah

braaun is expensive bro

they are a lil diff too

put baby powder on your face and its smoothe as FUCK while shaving

blade!

i tried a few diferent electrics over the years including rotary. they are very good for the most part but nothing cleans me at the jaw/neckline like a blade.

been using the braun shaver with the self cleaning system for about a year and i will never go back. Just make sure you self clean it regularly and it will always be a clean easy shave, it is worth the money trust me and has piad itself off with the cost of razors

Baby powder? I will have to try that one, thanks.
I am a razor guy and right now am growing my fall\winter beard that I keep until April or May. I cant understand why the razor is five dollars and I have to take out a second mortgage for the replacement blades. What a world.

I use the electric first then the blade they last about 4 times longer. Also put the blade back in the case everytime It keeps it from getting nicked.

Braun

I got the braun series 5 and I'm pretty happy with it. Used to have a philips with the three blades, but I got razorburn BAD!
The braun is much easier on the skin but like any electric shaver you'll stil have to go over the jawline a couple of times...

dont you need to use an electric for at least 21 days for your skin to get used to it?

EXACTLY! and even then I still would not be satisfied about my shave so I just went to manual razors.

Actually, it makes me think of when I was young. I didnt have anybody to teach me how to shave and didnt have the friends to share information with. Granted its not rocket science but it still was a lot of trial and error before getting it right and not having someone around to confirm whether or not I was doing it right was kind of tough and that was the case for just about everything an adolescent has to face...girls, sex, social skills, drinking/drugs, etc.

it took me a while for my hair to get used to it, and i dont even understand what that really means, but...when you first switch to an electric, you will think it sucks....then it will start working better.

i like the 3 head kind better.

I am too dumb to change razor blades, and that is why i use electric.

I still like a good 'ol razor. Besides, as much as I nick myself, it helps keep my hemocrit down

I have the phillips electric.it can be used in the shower and it has a conditioner dispenser built in. Press the button while shaving and it lays down conditioner/moisturizer as you shave. it works great and is the second one I have had. Cordless and you just recharge it.

HA HA HA....
Sorry, I just have an image in my head of you two in front of the mirror using a survival knife like Rambo's. LMAO!

:f'od-smil

I use the Braun 360 8000 Series - best I ever had. Got a couple of 3 settings in case you want to go for the cool jason statham look. But I always use a blade on neck area.

Tip of the day

Try this trick if you are only getting a few shaves out of your manual razors. After shaving, shake off the excess water and blow dry the blades with a hair dryer. You can also just shake off the excess and dunk in some alcohol. By drying the blades after using, you will increase the life of your razor dramatically. I can use the same Fusion blade 6-8 months by doing this.

I am going to try that. My beard is thick and like a wire brush. Thanks!
