And they're giving this to health care workers?!! Oh yeah that makes perfect sense to give this to people who take care of the ALREADY sick! From the package insert:
FluMist is only approved for healthy people ages 5 to 49, and the cost is about twice that of a flu shot. These live viruses from the vaccine can be shed from recipient children for up to 21 days, even longer from adults, and in the package insert under "Precautions," the manufacturer states that: "FluMist recipients should avoid close contact with immunocompromised individuals for at least 21 days."
