I have a C6Z.....but have been debating on moving up to the C7. Friend of mine has let me drive his C7 Grand Sport...and honestly it isn't really giving up that much power to the C6Z even though the numbers on paper show it as much as it is.
But just the ergonomics of it, the upgraded interior, all the enhanced features...make me want to pull the trigger.
We plan to be buying another house by next May...and my Wife said she didn't care as long as I did it after the move.
So it looks like when we go house shopping...I'm really going to be garage shopping.
I love them. I had two C5Z's...the first one was stock until I sold it. The second one I built to race but still cruise on the weekends. Had FI, beefed up transmission, beefed up rear diff, torque tube....you name it and it had it.
It put down almost 600hp to the rear wheels through a 3:90 gear set.
Sold that and got a C6Z. Crazy thing with it was just adding a FAST intake and a full exhaust (Long Tubes) with a tune put down over 500 easy...and I didn't have to fool with the drivetrain.
But the C7 is so much more refined and I will probably go that route by middle of next year.
I hate all of you damn it. I can't even afford to repair my Civic. Let alone go build my VW that would walk Corvettes like a dog. And before you say BS a buddy of mine walked a ZO6 when they first came out like a dog three times in a row. That guy was really upset, still had the sticker in the window. Anyways good on ya and enjoy your rides! Just realize how lucky you are as one little health problem could take away all that fun stuff. Health is wealth! Stay healthy. Out
