Being a pharmacist is a great career and there is a big demand and decent money, but remember if you are getting your RPh, then you are not going to work banker's hours. Most pharmacists out of school end up at the big chains and get the crap hours. Try Wlagreens 24 Hour pharmacies. Do you think the guys that have been there for awhile work the night shift? Nope, its the new guy.
If you go on to get your PharmD. then you might get a hospital based position (less money) or have a chance at management later on on the retail side.
If you can sell and like it, go for pharmaceutical sales. I am an Area Sales Manager for a large pharma company and every one of my reps makes more than just about any pharmacist I can think of. In fact, a few of my reps make more than many primary care physicians.
