Last night.


Found a baby deer running in the road. Grabbed it, put it in my car and started driving it a ranch so it wouldnt get hit by a car. 10 minutes on the road, a deer jumps in the road and i hit it. WTF

As long as it died instantly or you did what you could to make it so the poor thing didn't suffer, that's good. Also, mmmmmmmmmm venison!!!

yea it died instantly. cop drove by and handled the situation from there, not sure what they did with it. Didnt even cross my mind to harvest it for meat. But yea at least the little one is alright.

now i have to go get an estimate on my car

Yea, not sure what state you are in, but here in PA if you hit a deer you can call up the Game Commission or whatever and notify them and then you are cool to take the deer. However, if it is a buck, you must give them the antlers and if they want, they can come take its head to determine if it has diseases that cause deer to go crazy, like the brain worm or the wasting disease

couple weeks ago this black lady down here in florida found a baby deer laying in her flowers, beat it to death with a shovel. Then dragged it to the edge of the woods and told people thats to let the other deers know not to eat her flowers....crazy bitch man...

Did a great thing by saving her. A couple yrs ago my wife and I was driving home from the Pocono mountains and we hit a deer, it ran into the woods so we really don't know what happened to it but it did cause about $3,500 worth of damage to the front of my SUV, that was a long 1,500 mile drive home. Thank goodness for insurance.

It sucks, but so true.. It makes you wonder how even a few second difference in your daily life can have implications, even major ones, in how your life plays out.. For example 1 time I was driving my grandmother's car many years ago - and her brake line had burst.. As the fluid leaked out, they got worse and worse, to the point where they did not work at ALL.. I realized this as I was going down a hill coming up on an intersection doing about 20.. The light in front of me was red, and there was a car stopped.. I didn't kno what to do, and was thinking about just swerving onto the curb, but the car went right on red.. So I said fuck it, I'm blowing the red light.. The way the intersection is, you can't see the cars coming on the street that crosses, so it was like russian roulette.. So I bomb thru the intersection, and there's someone coming RIGHT at me.. They slam on their brakes, and came inches from me.. I couldn't even stop to apologize.. But thinking back, just a split second difference could have had huge implications in how things played out.
