As for the next season of the show, DeKnight said it will be “very different” from the previous iterations of ‘Spartacus,’ given that it will take place outside the ludus (as we discussed in the podcast, it will also have some new cast members — Liam McIntyre as Spartacus and an actress to be named as Naevia). The creative team is working with “a larger canvas,” DeKnight noted, and Batiatus’ escaped slaves will have to draw on new skills and abilities, as well as their well-honed fighting techniques.

Liam McIntyre replaced Whitfield for the roll of Spartacus and Lesley-Ann Brandt decided not to renew her contract for her roll as Naevia...I did read today that Lucy Lawless will be returning for season 2...Have you heard anything else?!

It's an awesome show. I have both seasons dowloaded. Imagine how much better it would have been if they didn't have to rewrite the entire 2nd season due to the star battling his illness...

The scene where Sparticus fights Glaber's men in the ludus pool is my favorite scene in any movie or show ever. My wife and I love this show. A lot of man on man sex but, enuf titty and violence to make up for it. Its pretty historicaly accurate too, from what I've read about the slave revolt. Anyone else notice that Crixus was in much better shape in Blood & Sand as a champ then Gods of the Arena as a newbie?

I agree with the statement about Crixus but I really believe it is all part of the prequel. Crixus was just a scrappy slave when he was purchased he hasnt been training and lifting like he had been for years when B&S takes place. I kind of think Barka (sp) looks a little skinnier too, but I didnt pay too much attention to his physique because he was always balls deep in a dude haha. That show makes me want to read more about the those times for sure

He commented in an interview about it. He said it was very hard to lose the weight and now it's hard to put it back on. Pretty much, they all bitch and whine about their "4 week boot camp."

Alright Fellas

To those who are in the know, who would you pick in a fight between Ganagus (sp?) and Spartacus? It would be a tough one but I would have to go with Spartacus. He just looks like he is about a foot taller than Ganagus. Plus if I was fighting for the memory of a lady like Spartacus' late wife (damn she is perfect) I dont know that I could lose. Anyone else gonna bite? lol

All depends on which Spartacus you get. The one devoted to the wife or the one who know longer gives fuck. Spartacus post dead wife is unbeatable except by the one and only Achilles who is just simply the best.:headbang:

‘Spartacus’ Gets Third Season From Starz

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) – Gladiator groupies can brace themselves for more gore in the arena.

Starz has given its series “Spartacus” a go-ahead for a third season, the pay cable network announced on Monday.

The green light comes months ahead of the January 27, 2012, premiere of “Spartacus: Vengeance,” the second season of the “Spartacus” saga.

The as-yet-untitled third season is expected to begin production in New Zealand in early 2012. “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena,” which aired in January 2011, drew an estimated 6.2 million total viewers per episode when all linear channels and on-demand viewing are factored in.

“Spartacus: Vengeance” stars Australian actor Liam McIntyre in the title role, replacing deceased star Andy Whitfield. Executive producer Rob Tapert promises that it will offer “many surprises” for fans.

I absolutely love Spartacus. I have watched it all and download the whole season in dvd quslity. Those chicks are hot, how I wish I lived in the roman days. Cant wait for the next season. A real shame though that our main Aussie hunk actor passed away. Batiatus id an asshole. Crixus would make a good bodybuilder lol

Just watched the preview. Looks fucken amazing! i loved watching these before a workout it would just get me all pumped up and ready to go... got the girlfriend into it so now when it airs I can watch it with her... i think it might be because of the guys but I don't care... the show is violence and porn... best show going right now IMO!
