I like all the movies you listed (that I've seen) but yeah, great call on The Professional.I am finding modern movies more, and more sub-par.
Aliens - up to #2
Requiem for a Dream
The Professional
Godfather 1/2 - My son, 19, and I watched these a few weeks back
Full Metal Jacket
Platoon
The Wire TV Series - If you have not seen this you are missing out on one of the best series ever produced
The Kingdom - Just watched this on my last business trip
dude you got that too ? i really dig shit thats set in LA have no idea whyHollywood Land
Mulholland Drive
Anything thats set in classic or old-west California...
how can you mention David Lynch and not mention Blue Velvet?I love horror movies and the first V/H/S is my favorite - very original story with 4 connected stories within it. I also love Paranormal Activity 3 - when we saw it in theaters a few kids ran out during the last 10 minutes.
I love David Lynch's work - surreal and non-linear storytelling that makes you think. Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive are the easiest to get into; if you like those you'll probably love Inland Empire.
I don't know TV or streaming shows as I don't watch that stuff. True Blood, American Horror Story, and Breaking Bad are the only ones I've seen all the way through and I enjoyed them.
Good show!Bro - next fucking level! Lots of parallels to the Murdochs (Fox) and Redstones (Viacom) families and legacy media.
it's like the Twilight zone and Outer Limits in that they're all little standalone vignettes. I haven't watched much of it.Can someone explain this black mirror to me I heard it's popular seemed ok watching 1 episode...is this like the twilight zone?
I liked when the bad guys cut tom beringers finger offWhen I was younger I loved the movie Sniper.
Man Firefly was such an underrated show.I don't really do movies much, too short, story too simple (I also don't like reading much less than 500 page books). But TV.
Farscape
Star Trek (pretty much all but Enterprise, I can watch that too though)
X-Files
Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis
Andromeda (has Kevin Sorbo)
FireFly (kind of have to mention it)
Manhattan (it was a good show on WGN about the bomb)
Lost (but only like seasons 1-3ish)
Legend of the Seeker (It's a poor replacement for the Sword of Truth books themselves, but I still like it. Don't watch unless you've read Wizards First Rule and Stone of Tears)
Fringe
I'm sure I could go on.
