I was wondering how exactly having the proper ratio helps us in terms of body composition? I have read that fish oil, omega 3's help with insulin sensitivity. I have also read that the omega 3's, if consumed over time make it easier for you to build muscle and keep leaner if all factors are equal.
How much of a real world impact does having a proper ratio actually have? Is it possible if we consume too much fish, and supplement with fish oil, that we could have too many omega 3's and too little omega 6's (obviousley for the general population it is reversed).
Would a ratio of 3 to 6 that is higher than 1:1 be more beneficial than 1:1?
Also, I have read that it takes a long period of time (over a year) for you to actually see any changes once you start taking alot of omega 3. Is this accurate, or is it like any supplement, diet, cycle, where you begin to have the benefits immediatley?
