I just got back from visiting my grandfather in Rhode Island. he has been ill for a while. he has had many symptoms and doctors dont know whats wrong.
they feel its either bone cancer or luekimia(spelling), he did look better than the last time i saw him but was complaining he didnt feel well and his ears have been bleeding. he never complains EVER so this is important to listen to him.
i read his blood work.
his creatinine levels were 1.9
thats just at the top of normal but still its high for him and its been climbing. does this mean impared kidney function?
also his white blood cell count was very high to the point where the doc wrote in by hand..."dont know why!!!"
this would lead me to think its more to the luekimia than bone cancer. the backs of his hands are black. NOT black and blue...BLACK!!!!
ive never seen anything like this. my mom is a nurse and she too has no idea what this is. i guess im just looking for answers and doctors are not giving them to us. he is doing better but my grandmother (his wife) died of cancer and she was on this rollercoaster of up and down, good and bad days for a bit before it got her so im not satisfied just cause he was doing better now....cuz it will cange again. plus he is tough and i dont get to see him much so i do think he put up nore of a game face so we wouldnt see how he really is. it seems if they dont know what it is...they are just not going to treat him, and they are not moving to fst to diagnose him. he is my last grandparent and if this is terminal i just want him to be comfortable. what do you guys think????
