Frustrated rant...

I don't frequent that board much, but occassionaly do to see what's going on. Silly me just got into an argument with some 20 something that knew nothing about the human body. I tried telling him how joints are lever systems with fulcrum points, and he started telling me to take a logic class and that because he was lifting ALOT more weight in the bench with a MUCH shortened ROM that he was stronger. I tried to explain the physics of it and such.. only to have people tell me I didn't know what I was talking about and how I was on steroids.

Sorry, man I hate that board. It's full of f*cktards.
 
Bro, if you don't mind copying and pasting your answer on this board I for one would like to hear your explanation of it. Seriously. I always enjoy a good read.

Very true. The best example of this are flat bench lock outs on a power rack. The distance is waaay shorter thus giving the thought that you're stronger because you can add so much more weight to the bar. If they think they are so strong, leave the exact same weight on there. Now try the same thing but with the full range of motion! BAHAHAHAHA BLAM right ontop of their chest! (looks like you held your own so far)

My 13 yr old son has better chest than that and he hasn't started lifting yet!!
