OT BIGA Lotus Elise

Just saw one on the road today, looked very nice, Big A, have you seen, or driven one of these, it just looked a bit too small for anyone over 230lbs, but it looks very nice.

It's a piece of crap!
Looks GORGEOUS, but that's it. I wanted to get one for my girl to swap her Esprit for since the Elise is more girly, so we picked an Elise up from the dealer for the day. After half an hour, we took it back and told them to keep it.
After we got back in my girls Esprit, we both looked at each other and we said that there's no way we would swap an Esprit for an Elise!

It's loud (crappy insulation), rough ride, not much room inside, someone my size has to literally crawl to get out of it if the roof is on, it's slow (relative - depends on what you are used to) and at anything over 100mph it seriously starts to float.

It does handle brilliantly though. On corners that an Esprit reaches its limit, the Elise just goes around unflustered. But that's it. It's a track car, definetely not an everyday car.
Put it this way, my girl and I have our Lexus's for every day use. The toys are the Esprit, 355 and Diablo, yet I would consider many other cars as a 4th toy before I'd put an Elise in the garage, because I wouldn't want to drive it. And I am a Lotus nut!
