OT: Dude who killed hiker in Ga

I have seen that guy 4 or 5 times in the park/hiking trail I walk my dogs in. My girlfriend was warned about the guy last year by another walker. He was captured about 100 feet from the Starbucks I go to each morning. He always stood out becase he wore hiking gear on a trail that basically you could walk with flip flops. A true sick dude.

When I was a kid I used to watch unsolved mysteries and americas most wanted, and would think what if I saw one of those guys. I'm glad you and your girl are ok, and that they were able to get that scumbag away from society. Unfortunatly there always seems to be another evil bastard to hit the headlines.

Thats flippin scary. My mother once camped right next to I beleive it was john carpenter. Who murdered hikers by strangulation all along trails in california. She was camped next to him and kept trying to get my mother and her friend to be with him, it was a week and a half later he was caught. This was in the 70's though.

Big and strong we may be but it is still too close to home for that shit. Glad they caught him and you didn't get caught out PW!! These sick bastards posess some awesome strength and can often fool you. I once had to try and subdue a mental patient (didn't know it at the time) inside a pub. I locked down on this guys throat (real tall and skinny kind of nut) and he just stared back at me with these eyes that burned right through me! So I spun him around and realy had a hard time getting this guy to do what I wanted. it finally took 3 of us to get him putside and on the ground for the cops. It took 4 cops to get him in the back of the car!!

Real Scary dude...

I think sometimes we fool ourselves because of our size/strength. Anyone can get hit in back of the head with a extending police baton like this guy carried. Especially in a wooded setting.

His dog was especially obedient and he would threaten the dog loudly. It is strange, I have heard more people inquire about his dog than the victim around here of those who have seen this freak. I guess because most of us who have come in contact with him near where I did were walking dogs.

Luckily I had Bonnie and Clyde two six pound Chihuahua's who would have torn his achilles's to shreds.

I've been keeping up with this since it hit the news. It's so sad.

That sounds just a little to close to home. Glad you're safe.

The truth is that things aren't as safe as they once were. We have to be careful no matter where we are. A former workout partner's wife was in the mall parking lot going to her car. A van pulled up behind her car blocking it in, and two men approached her and grabbed her. She had her keys in her hand, so she started trying to get in her car when some other people came up. If it wasn't for the other people, those men were planning to throw her in the van and abduct her. She was so lucky that they were seen before they could do any real harm.

on CNN again today they had 911 phone call of person who spotted this guy and help stop this maniac. He asked the 911 operator if they wanted him to take the guy down,,,what a citizen!!

My hunting buddy told me last week he'd also seen that guy several times up in Dawsonville. The place where he dumped her body is where we do alot of our hunting. In fact, it was about 100yds from one of the spots we often park our trucks. I can't image how I'd react if I stumbled onto a dead body in the dark on my way to climb up in my tree stand. Glad they caught the SOB.
