Anyone have a good protein pancakes recipe they use? Been craving them lately. Going to add in on the weekends for maybe a leg day.

I know met rx used to make a tub of mix you could order.

Please post up any good recipes you guys use.

Why not make proper homestyle pancakes and have a shake?
That is what i do. I figure taking whey protein which has already been processed and then heating it up again when cooking is likley to degrade the quality of the protein. Plus i have never had it do anything to help the flavor of the pancakes.

I quite like the Kodiak mix. 15g protein per serving, more if you make with fat free milk and egg. My only concern is how much of that 15g is from gluten.

I've made a bunch of different recipes with protein powder, egg whites, oat flour, etc... they all come out rubbery. I'd rather just factor in the carbs and have real pancakes with a protein shake lol

I seen some in the cold section at Costco today already made. Premier Protein I believe.

Egg whites, eggs, bananas or sweet potatoes, milk, cream of rice, oat flour, lemon juice, baking powder, vanilla extract and cinnamon.

Play around with amounts for desired macros. I use sugar free syrup and if diet allows I’ll put some organic jams/preserves on top.

Heated denatured whey does not affect its amino acid profile at all

To follow up on my previous post, I asked chatgpt to look at the Kodiak ingredients and speculate how much of the 15g protein might be from gluten and it came up with 9-12 grams. So lol may as well just have regular pancakes

Egg whites, oat flour, baking soda, stevia and Isofit vanilla icecream protein powder. Or PESciences vanilla or cake pop.

The protein matters most in this. Use a bad tasting powder and they’ll taste like shit.

If you want to keep it easier use Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix by itself and drink a shake with it. Much easier and taste legit. I’ll use this on the occasional super high day.

Lol I forgot to mention whey iso in my ingredient list 🤪

Kodiak has been my go to for protein pancakes. I’ll generally add more protein powder and I little more milk to get the mix right

Blend the oatmeal to make a fine flour then blend all the other ingredients.
I like the macros on these as a straight meal replacement and they taste amazing.

Flavor? What flavor? That is what maple syrup and butter is for 🙂

When I make them I used unflavored whey from true nutrition.
Still heating the protein which i doubt is not good for the quality of it as it has already been processed. I just have a shake with the pancakes and figure i am getting more quality protein that way. What ever works for a person is what they should do.

Try my protein pancakes recipe, i used to make this sometimes ago and i did enjoy it.....only that i'm not a fan of pancakes so I haven't made it again for some time, but I am sure you will love it

Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats (or oat flour)
- 1 scoop (30g) whey protein powder (flavor of choice)
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese or Greek yogurt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 banana (optional, for sweetness)
- 1/4 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt and cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:
1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
3. Pour batter into the skillet, forming small pancakes.
4. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, flipping when bubbles form on the surface.
5. Serve with your favorite toppings: fresh fruit, nut butter, syrup, or even Greek yogurt.

Macros (per serving, makes 2-3 pancakes):
- Calories: 350
- Protein: 30g
- Carbs: 30g
- Fat: 10g

I've been following this recipe with different protein sources for a few years I got this from a magazine from Beverly international years ago..

These are a little less like pancakes and a little more like crêpes but I like the macros...
