OK bros - what do we all think about this? I am certain that I am finished having kids and I am not concerned about the permanency of the procedure. Anyone know anything either good or bad about this? Can AS use complicate things in any way?

Had mine years ago. No regrets no problems. AAS does not have anythng to do with it other than maybe a little bleeding. Just tell the doctro what your on before he cuts. The only thing you worry about is when he is working down there and say OOOPPPPPSSS! Time to worry. Just take it easy for a few days after and you will be fine. It only took about thirty minutes and i walked out of his office and back to work.

It seems to be pretty simple and straightforward but I wanted to make sure i wasn't missing something. I have heard of transient pain post-op that can occur for months, even years.

How much time off from training will I need to take, do you think?

It took 5 min and I was not in ANY pain what so ever.
Just no sex for a few weeks.

I think snipping your balls is horrible and as far as I am concerned off limits. Have the woman take birth control or use a condom. I'd rather be responsible and take precautionary measures as I always have then have my balls snipped, even if it's a relatively easy and non-painful procedure.

Nothin to it...a weekend in the lazyboy and all done. No pain here either except when I ran to the truck cause it was raining....kinda reminded me I had surgery the day before.

You know come to think of it. The worst part was bringing the sample back to the doctors office to see if the proceedure worked. Talk about embarrassing. The doc checked it while I waited. He comes out in the waiting room and says "All good your shootin blanks boy...see ya on the trail!" Man I could'nt get outta there fast enough.

I read somewhere that it increases the risk of prostate cancer due to not being able to release the sperm that is still being produced.

As for time off training. I do not recommend this but I trained that afternoon. Just was very careful and did upper body, no abs. Everything was fine!

My wife wants me to get the surger also as our kids are older etc and we don't want any more. MY excuse is if there is some sort of Nuclear War it may be up to me to repopulate the earth.

if you have any doubts freeze some sperm.
once done, retroactive surgery will cost up to 4 times more than the vasectomy. will be more painfull, and will not be a gaurentee. Talk to your urologist.
