It's great for keeping away cramps and promoting a healthy heart which I would say is a great upside to having it in your system.
You could always just eat more foods like these that are high in potassium:
Salmon, cod, flounder, sardines, lima beans, broccoli, peas, tomatoes, potatoes (skin), spinach, lettuce, bananas, apples, citrus fruits
If you don't like any of those then take it as a supplement.
