Question on need of Bcaas

I don't always supplement with BCAA's, but when I do, I can't tell the difference. lol

But in all seriousness I tend to drink some BCAA with my preworkout and immediately in the morning if breakfast is going to be delayed

In what way? Glutamine is pretty much just a big waste of money. The only think oral may be good for is the gut.

I'm leaning on agreeing with you on this. I'm NOT up on the current research but my lady friend who is a BBer says the glutamine they use in her lab comes out the freezer because it's not active very long after that.

She doesn't use it herself, besides what she gets in her shakes.

How long are your workouts?

Mine are only 45 minutes so I haven't bothered added an intra yet until I get my intensity back up. I'm still enjoying newbie gains.

I would think if you had an extended workout session you could add them, keep a log, and compare it to how you do without them.

Sigh lol.. This is one of many variables involved in a cumulative total resulting in simultaneous building of muscle and burning fat. Would it work better without it? Possible but unlikely.

I was just kidding, I'm sure they don't hinder the results but would be interesting to know how much they contribute to the end result, my guess would be not that much but it's just my opinion.

If you compare the cost of glutamine + bcaa supplementation to the total cost of a competion diet then of course you might as well take them just to be sure.

I agree I don't think the contribution is very significant but in the grand scheme using them the last 4 to 6 weeks is worth while.
