I always ramp up and down on mg's of enan or sus for my cycle. A good bro questioned my method and suggested that I go balls out form the beginning to end. It goes against my theory and methods but is there an advantage to going wide open from the start to finish of the cycle rather than ramping up and down.

The infamous diamond-pattern is what was drilled into my head - but that was back in the 80's :)

I believe the idea was that your body doesn't need as much AAS when you begin. Then as you continue, the receptors begin to get loaded so dosages increase. Taper at end to get your system/hpta back to normal.

Needless to say, I don't do the diamond-pattern anymore and probably lose less after a cycle than when I did.

I guess I kinda dated myself with the old school method, but it has worked for me and I have stuck with it. Just wondering from your statement if ramping down is more important than ramping up.

I believe (at one time "I knew" but memory is first to go :) ) that your system/HPTA doesn't begin to recover until you cease use of AAS, regardless of amount.

Back then, ancillaries were VERY HARD to come by - clomid, nolva and hcg. While taking hcg at end of cycle and clomid post cycle doesn't guarantee faster HPTA recovery, it seems to in "most people (it does me).

If the part about receptors needing more juice the further you get into your cycle, it would seem that the taper-down portion would not be effective - given thaat assumption

I think

As long as your post cycle "therapy" is time according to the ester you are taking, then the ramp up ramp down thoery isn't needed.

I like to front load everything.
I then switch to fast acting stuff and an oral
so I can control when I am off.
