Have you made one? More than one? If so, what was it and how did you overcome it/them?
 
i used muscletech supplements when i trained for the collegiate nationals:eek:

i didnt have internet:)
 
when I bulked up, I wish I had gotten more calories from healthy fats, rather than carbs

I was agreeing with what you said.

I would say the 2 biggest mistakes for me are:
1) Thinking every set has to go to failure and beyond
2) Not being dedicated in the offseason like i am precontest

I think all of us have gotten a little fanatical and over-trained at some point:) I know there were times that i would rather be in the gym that anywhere else.
 
thought that I had to eat anything and everything in the biggest possible quantities to gain muscle

Shall i just post pics... hehehe... Atleast I can laugh it off now.

My problem is I try crap on myself that I would NEVER try on any of my clients. I guess I'm my own guinee pig or atleast used to be.

In terms of pre contest. i'll always hire someone else to run my plan from the start of my prep.

Wish I would not have taken "supplements" for granted and ate like shit while taking them thinking they could convert shit food into muscle :) LOL

Thanks Bro! At this point, I would too. :eek: being a control freak hasn't gotten me any where near my potential, so I'll be letting go and placing it in someone's hands for 09.
I've always taken long breaks after shows in the past, but after having my peter kicked in the dirt at USA's, I was re-invigorated. Took full advantage of post show rebound by training w/ Dusty right when I got back from vegas.
You will see a very different version of me in 09.
I was missing the passion for the game this past prep, well it's burning hotter than ever now!

I made a HUGE mistake early on, I took my first cycle at age 16 and it was deca. Believe it or not I got it from a doctor too(before the age of the internet). Took many years of being natural to recover from that assinine mistake but like the teenagers now, there was no talking sense to me.
 
1. Thinking you have to go full range of motion (which is actually beyond normal range of motion usually) or it doesn't count.

2. Stretching too much before a workout

3. Thinking 5000 bad calories = 5000 good calories

4. Believing it's good to work different parts of a muscle. Like "lower bicep" or "inner pecs"

5. Trying so hard to reach a number that I injured my shoulder.
