school ?

Still considering going back to school, actually I made up my mind I'm going back. I only have a semester to a year to get my business degree, but guess what I don't really want it. I've always been fascinated by chemistry and computers. Two extremely different things. But I've been thinking about the supplement industry more and more and was curious what would be good to study to get into this industry? It's either this or my buddies wife is trying to get me into the nursing program at the local college. Which isn't a bad idea, just don't know if it's something that I'm set on just yet. The only way to make real good money is through the traveling program. Would the supplement industry be geared more towards organic chemistry or something else? Thanks

Either organic or biochem. Personally I'd go with the biochem, you'd have a ton of options with that. My only reservation with biochem would be that it is a pretty hot field right now, so the better jobs would be a little more competitive than they used to be. Congrats on going back. Good move, bro.

Im a Nurse.

Been a nurse now for about 3 year. Im a RN. Im 25yrs old. Its not bad. You have a huge variety of work you can do. The pay is ok and i only work 3 12 hour shifts a week. Also I know a ton about the body from all the schooling. Also been a bodybuilder for about 12 years. Hardcore last 7 years. Any questions you have for me let me know. Later.

well if u have the pre reqs which iam sure u do it will probely only mean 2 more yearss of school, bio chem is fascinating as hell

I am gettin a applied phys degree from the school that has been on the news lately ( regarding SUV bombings). Applied phys is intense all i can say i cant stand chem although some people like it.

I know a girl who graduated from my school with Chem Degree and now works for some wierd pharmaceutical company, she makes 45grand a year. It aint worth it IMO if you do not have a PhD. THat is when true money comes. Most chem majors with a bachelors in pharmacuetical companies make 70 g a year a most. Get a degree and PhD thats when the money comes. Bachelor's degree gets you hired PhD gives you the mula, if not then just do somethin else. School is not always the answer.

I graduated with an Industrial Engineering degree from Caltech in 93, been in the supplement industry since... Comnmom sense and a baseline in classic education is all that is needed to work, perseverence and dedication is all that is needed to succeed. My diploma is rolled up in my mothers house and I have never had to show it to anyone.

By no means do I think a degree is going to give me anything! Maybe some oppurtunities but thats all. I would actually just like to have a degree for my own personal happiness since I spent all that time before in school in something that I didn't like. I just want the satisfaction of finishing it for myself and if I'm going to go through the struggle it will be for something that I like.
Just got a lead yesterday about a cell phone company or atleast the company that builds and maintains the towers electronically. A buddy from my football team, his brother in law just signed a one year contract to live and work in china. His pay is just alittle over $300,000 tax free U.S. dollars. They are also paying for his move and all living expenses whikle he's there. He leaves in a few weeks and I meet with him later in the week to chit chat.
But I really like the fitness industry and health and wellness more than anything. My buddy just started a job right here in town at the hospital after he went through 4 years of the nursing program. He really seems to like it, especially since monday morning he just got a call from the administrations office from some hospital in pheonix wanting him to come out there for some pretty nice cash!
