Shelley Beattie...R.I.P

Former IFBB Pro and American Gladiator Shelley Beattie passed away on February 13, 2008. The family has not released the official cause of death as of yet, but there's no doubt she will be dearly missed. Shelley had been living in Portland, Oregon at the time of her death. Perhaps best known for her role as Siren on American Gladiators, Shelly was also a successful IFBB woman's bodybuilder; placing as high as 3rd at the 1992 Ms. Olympia contest.

i remember the 1st time we ever went to the arnold it was 90 or 91 before it was all hyped up like it is now. we got vip tickets and were going to the banquet, down the steps comes this absolutely stunning women in a red evening gown. it was shelley, even at very low bodyfat, as she competed that weekend she was still very feminine and attractive. made a big impression on a 15 year old kid at the time. i'll never forget that. it was the 1st time i had seen a professional female bodybuilder up close and it wasnt what i had expected atleast in this case. RIP.
